SYNOPSIS:
In this trial of balancing both developing a project and completing it, 'LIVING CREATURE' is a testament of what can be accomplished when just two people aim to make a short. From concept to completion, this cast and crew of only four create a short that invokes questions regarding isolation, loneliness and desire.

"It was a concept, a DSLR and two girls who borrowed a bounce board who wanted to see what it was like to make a film. Having it finished now seems unreal, but I am so grateful to those who helped us out. I had a dream about making a shot that followed somebody up the hill, but we had no equipment, except for my camera. Trying to balance a tripod in a car and a hill-start in the car was probably not the best idea, but this film introduced so many hidden challenges that I am grateful to have worked out before taking on 'Calaboose'." - Jennifer Martin, Writer & Director
The apprehensively titled film, 'Living Creature', introduces audiences to the experiment of Two Stranded and the ability of the original co-founders.
Used as a practice run for scheduling, writing, storyboarding and all that comes with making a short film, it was abandoned during the editing phase in 2022.

Finally being completed shortly after 'Calaboose' premiered, this film was able to be released in April 2024.
